Events setup

Events need BotStacked only, and there are no channels to choose: events are posted where they are created.

Create an event#

  1. Tick Events in the dashboard, invite BotStacked, turn Events on and save.
  2. Members with Manage Server run /event_create with a title, description, date and time, and an optional capacity (1 to 10,000).
  3. Or post the panel with !events and use Create Event.

Sign-ups#

Every event post has Join, Leave and Attendees buttons. The count updates on the post, and sign-ups stop at capacity. Events and sign-ups are saved, so the buttons keep working after a restart.

Formatting#

Descriptions are cleaned up into readable Discord formatting. AI-assisted formatting may be available on some plans; plain formatting always works. !format does the same for any block of text.

Permissions#

BotStacked needs View Channel, Send Messages, Read Message History, Embed Links in the channels where events are posted.
