LFG setup
Looking-for-group posts with a private text channel for every group, cleaned up automatically.
Configure#
- Choose the text channel where group posts appear.
- Choose the category where private group channels are created.
- Optionally, choose a separate channel for the creator panel. Otherwise the posting channel is used.
- Turn LFG on, save, then run
!lfg(Manage Channels) to post the panel.
How groups work#
Members press Create LFG, pick the game, mode, players needed, an optional rank and a message, then press Finish. Each member can host one active group per server. Others join with an optional in-game tag and get access to the private channel. The host, or a moderator with Manage Messages or Manage Channels, closes the group.
Expiry and cleanup#
Groups expire after six hours. If BotStacked cannot delete a post or channel (for example after a permission change), it keeps the record and tries again once the permission is fixed.
Role pings#
If your server has a role named exactly like the game (for example Valorant), new posts mention it.
Permissions#
View Channel, Send Messages, Read Message History, Embed Links, plus Manage Channels and Manage Roles in the group category. Manage Roles lets BotStacked give members access to their group's channel; it cannot grant permissions it does not have itself.
