Getting started

Setting up takes a few minutes. You need a Discord account that owns the server you want to set up, or has Administrator or Manage Server in it.

The bots are not live yet, so accounts and invites are closed. You can walk through every step with sample data in the setup preview.

Create your account#

Sign up with your email address and a password of at least 15 characters. We send a verification email; open the link in it to activate the account. The link works once and expires after 24 hours.

Connect Discord#

In the dashboard, choose Connect Discord. Discord asks you to share your identity and your list of servers, nothing else. We use the list only to show the servers you may manage, and we check your permissions again before every change.

Pick a server and its features#

The dashboard lists servers where you are the owner, an administrator or have Manage Server. Open one and tick what it needs: Music, Events, LFG or Voice rooms. Every server has its own page, settings and data.

Invite the bots#

  1. BotStacked runs every feature, so it is always invited.
  2. For music, also invite Restify A, which plays the audio. Paid plans add Restify B and C for more rooms at once.
  3. Each invite opens Discord's own page, locked to the server you chose. Choose Authorize there.

A bot shows as Ready once it reports in from your server. If it is missing a permission, the dashboard names it. See permissions explained.

Name BotStacked and activate#

Choose the name members see for BotStacked in this server and the language of its panels and replies, then activate the server on the Free plan. Discord's username stays BotStacked; only the name inside your server changes. Details in BotStacked's name and language.

Turn features on and choose channels#

Features that use channels offer lists straight from your server:

  • Music: a private router channel.
  • LFG: a posting channel, a category for group channels and, optionally, a panel channel.
  • Voice rooms: a lobby voice channel and a category.

Save, and the last step shows when each bot has loaded your settings.

Free plan or subscription#

Every server starts on the Free plan. Voting on top.gg unlocks a few extras for 12 hours. A subscription unlocks everything for that server.
